Penelope Pitstop Superhero: Stretchwear and False Silhouettes

This project was an introduction to artificial silhouettes and stretchwear. The first component was the hip padding, a combination of latex foam and batting built upon a power net base and smoothed over with spandex. The second component consisted of spandex tights, a spandex leotard, and a belt. The leotard incorporates non-stretch side panels, elasticated casings around the legs, and an invisible zipper.
