Regency Spencer

This project involved patterning and constructing a Regency spencer based on a fashion plate. Sleeves, especially unconventional ones, were the focus of this class. The spencer I chose features a gathered bodice and Mameluke sleeves and is decorated with strips of bias tape, piping, and lace. Every gathered piece is mounted to a fitted piece to stabilize the gathers and puffs.
