Norwegian Boned Bodice

This bodice was based on traditional Norwegian bunads. After draping on a dress form, it was constructed with three layers - a fashion linen and coutil lining with flannel in between to smooth out any ridges from the boning. The edges were finished with piping. The hand-embroidery was inspired by Norwegian designs and comprises various stitches - satin stitch, backstitch, French knots, and stem stitch.
