Fabric Modification Final Project

Class Project (2025)

Materials: silk fabric, No-Flow, silk paints, RIT dye, old jeans, cotton pillowcase

​

For this project, we were required to apply two fabric modification techniques learned during the semester to a piece of our choosing. I upcycled an old pair of jeans and a cotton pillowcase into a 1980s-inspired skirt, with shibori dyeing and silk painting as my two fabric modification elements.
